happy april

I really can't believe it is already April! This year is really flying by and I am doing my best to continue to make it a Year to Remember........ Today is the most beautiful day here in Texas! We missed church this morning, but we have definitely been enjoying God's beauty all around us today--more flower planting outside (lavender, daisies, zinnias), sitting on the porch and just relaxing. I forgot to put sunscreen on Sienna and she got a little pink on the cheeks, but she couldn't look cuter! Last night we went to the Harbor with GaGa and we had a great time. I am really loving this time of year....

Tonight I have to figure out what to bring to my first crop at the church tomorrow. I am meeting some friends there and we are going to scrap together for the first time---I just can't decide what to bring with me? I am a stay-at-home-scrap-booker, and I've never really had to lug a bunch of stuff somewhere to scrap. Hmmmm??

I must say that I have really been feeling extra grateful lately. I look around at all of the blessings in my life and I am so very thankful---just to be able to sit out on the back porch and enjoy the weather and my family and the flowers and the birds, I do not for one second take it for granted!

I am also feeling really inspired lately from all the women I have come to know through blog land---sometimes it's a little embarassing to admit, but I really get a lot of joy out of peeking into other women's creative lives and gaining inspiration from them. I love to see what projects other women are working on, how they are decorating their homes for the season, how they are balancing motherhood and creativity and romance, what is inspiring them, what books they are enjoying, etc.... It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is something that I have really come to enjoy this past year and I am grateful for everything I have gained----I don't think I realized before how many creative and intersting and inspiring women there are out there who are just trying to be great wives and moms and still take time for themselves, to carve out their own spaces and their own time to be expressive and to document their families journey in an artistic way. This is what I have been looking for, this is what feeds my soul...........
Note: these pics are from last weekend (another beautiful weekend)... i haven't uploaded the pics from today just yet ;)

how beautiful!! Have fun at your crop. You know what I did, I went to Home Depot and got a double decker tool box on wheels and thats what I do when I go somewhere else to scrap. I can fit a lot of my stuff in there.
