November already?

Maybe I am having such a hard time believeing that it is already November because it is 80 degrees today and predicted to be about 85 tomorrow!! I am so over this warm weather and wanting so badly to just turn on the Holiday tunes, light some candles, drink some hot chocolate and put on some flannel pajamas.... I did buy some yummy homemade Spiced Tea this weekend and it was delicious, tasted just like Christmas!!

I am trying this year to sort of combine Thanksgiving into the entire holiday season rather than trying to just get through it and on to Christmas. That means, I am turning up the Christmas music in my car and enjoying the holiday decorations in the store and easing into the Christmas spirit without repeating over and over again how "Thanksgiving isn't even here yet.....blah, blah, blah" I have decided that 2 whole months of celebrating is perfect, just what we need right now, so I am going to start slowly getting out the decorations and begin weeding through what I want to use this year instead of making a mad dash to get everything up and in order the day after Thanksgiving.

This year I am planning on going with a white, silver and green "theme". I have bought tons of mercury glass goodies and I want to bring in a lot of natural decor: evergreens, pinecones, pecans, etc... I saw something similar in a magazine and it looked so simple and organic. I am definitely going to add some pink and sparkle in Sienna's room....but I want the overall feeling to be simple, uncluttered and fresh.

I think tomorrow I will go to Michaels and Hobby Lobby and start purchasing some items to make a few gifts. I haven't decided exactly what I want to do yet, but I am determined to actually give one or two handmade gifts this year. Maybe I will just go and browse and see what gets my attention???

For now, I am just enjoying the last days of pumpkins, leaves, orange, brown, yellow...all the wonderful things I love about Fall. Above are some of my favorite pics from the season. Enjoy!!
