Another week documented, and I am still loving this process. In fact, I think this was my favorite week yet! I have really enjoyed leaving my album out and open on my craft table, and adding bits and pieces throughout the week. And the main difference from year's past, is that I am printing my photos at home as I go rather than waiting to have them printed at Costco......definitely easier to "keep up" this way.
This week was all about having fun with friends, getting ready for Grant's 4th birthday, and the annual Daddy-Daughter dance. Lots of fun stuff to document. Here's a look inside my album:
The left side of my weekly spread: Week in Review Card from
Cathy Zielske, Instagram photos, Bingo memorabilia, and a note we received in the mail (one of my favorite things about this project is having a place to put special notes and cards we receive from loved ones).
Our Week in Review
Excuse the glare on this photo, but I wanted to show you how I added a 5x7 insert here which allowed me to slip in the professional photo they had taken at the Daddy-Daughter dance as well as their ticket to the event (on the backside). I also added a little Smash label to the insert.
The right side of my weekly spread: I decided to fill this page protector with all photos (minus the Batman tag that came from the shirt I wore to Grant's party). We actually had a professional photographer take pictures at Grant's birthday party, so when I receive those photos, I will be adding another insert behind the 5x7 insert to showcase all of the pictures from the party. I also added a couple Instagram photos to this page of Grant blowing out candles at 2 other birthday celebrations during his birthday weekend (along with a flair button from
Ormolu), some
Ali word art, word stickers and a few other embellishments from my stash.
Not sure if I will keep this insert in my album, but for now, I added one of the big envelope pages and filled it with all of the birthday cards Grant received, as well as the invite we sent to all of his friends. Have I mentioned that I LOVE having a place for all of this good stuff rather than letting it pile up on various cabinets around the house ;-)
