On Friday, it was her turn for a little pumpkin patch party. She was looking forward to it the entire week, and could hardly sleep the night before!
And let me just pause here to say that I use the words "pumpkin patch" very loosely here. The pumpkin patch in our sweet little town is actually a sad patch of grass with some pumpkins on crates, a scarecrow for photo ops and a hay maze........but the kids absolutely love it, and they have absolutely no idea that somewhere out there there are pumpkin patches with hay rides, apple orchards, warm cider, and real live pumpkins growing out of the ground!!
Maybe next year, we will venture a little farther out in search of something a little more Fall-like, but for now, the temperature is 90 degrees, and this little pumpkin patch suits them just fine :)
I should also note here that Miss Sienna was in no mood for picture taking at the Patch. She posed for a few shots (after some serious bribing), but she was much more interested in running around and having fun with her friends (the nerve, right!!). So I got my fix by taking shots of pumpkins, gourds and mums :)
